65th BP Fellowship Event - USA
The 65th Baden-Powell Fellowship Event
The Event will take place from 18th to 21st July 2013 in West Virginia - USA.
The registration pack for this Event will be sent out around mid April 2013. However, we know that many of you are interested in attending this event and in visiting the brand new 4th High Adventure Base - The Summit Bechtel Reserve! Therefore we like to present you with a summary of the available information so you can start making your preparations.
The Event Hotel will be The Greenbrier Hotel, West Sulphur Springs, WV
Rates and room types available in the period 17-23 July 2013 are as follows: (per night, including breakfast in the Main Dining Room, resort fees and all applicable taxes)
- Intermediate Room: Single USD 543 / Double USD 581
- Superior Room: Single USD 597 / Double USD 635
- DeLuxe Room: Single USD 652 / Double USD 690
- Junior Suite: Single USD 652 / Double USD 690
Hotel reservations can not be made at the moment as the dedicated reservation website for the event is still being tested.
How to reach The Greenbrier Hotel?
There are several airports that can be used to reach The Greenbrier Hotel:
- Charlotte Douglas Airport (CLT) - Charlotte, NC - 3 to 4 hours drive by rental car
- Yeager Airport (CRW) - Charleston, WV - 2 hours drive by rental car
- Greenbrier Valley Airport (LWB) - Lewisburg, WV - pickup by hotel is possible at a fee
- Raleigh County Memorial Airport (BKW) - Beckley, WV - pickup by hotel is possible at a fee
- Roanoke Regional Airport (ROA) - Roanoke, VA - pickup by hotel is possible at a fee

The draft Programme for the Event is as follows:
- Thursday 18th: Arrival at The Greenbrier preferably before 5.00pm. Welcome Reception in the early evening and dinner on own / Regal Circle Dinner by special invitation only.
- Friday 19th: Visit to the 2013 BSA National Jamboree including lunch. Visit to one of the MOP (Messengers of Peace) Community Service locations where Jamboree participants take part in a full day of community service projects. In the evening the 65th Fellowship Dinner will take place at The Greenbrier Hotel.
- Saturday 20th: Different activities at the Greenbrier Hotel till early afternoon including lunch. Followed by a backstage dinner at the 2013 BSA National Jamboree and attending the Closing Show.
- Sunday 21st: Departure at own leisure
For BP Fellows working at the 2013 BSA National Jamboree a special coach service will be available on Friday 19th July to transport you to The Greenbrier Hotel so you can attend the 65th Fellowship Dinner. At the end of the dinner a coach will bring you back or you can opt to stay a night at The Greenbrier Hotel and return to the Summit in the morning by coach.
