Archbishop Desmond Tutu was amazed to learn about all of the projects that Scouts are doing around the world. As a Scout and Scout Leader when he was younger, he believes that by volunteering in the community, Scouts mimicked one of his famous quotes: "Do your little bit of good where you are; it's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world".

As he also says: "Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness" and he could see that, bringing hope to those in need, was being done all over the world by Scouts volunteering in their communities!
