Mexico's Hector Robledo Cervantes receives Bronze Wolf Award
Hector Robledo Cervantes has made significant contributions to the Movement both in Mexico and beyond and firmly believes that Scouting provides an ideal platform for young people to develop leadership-based values essential for creating a better world.
A long-standing supporter of international Scouting, Hector previously served as Chair of the World Scout Foundation and has been a member of its Board since April 2012 and a BP Fellow since 2006.
He played a supportive role in the fundraising efforts for the Messengers of Peace programme and, as a keen entrepreneur, personally championed Scout entrepreneurship and capacity-building projects. His efforts have empowered young people with vital employability skills to help shape their futures, impacting both the young people and their local communities in the long term. Scouts in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Bangladesh, Cambodia and Maldives have benefited thanks to his direct support.
Hector served as a Board Member and as Vice President of the Mexican Scout Association before becoming a Member and Vice President of the Interamerican Scout Foundation from 2008 to 2016.
Hector has been awarded the USA Silver International Award and Service Medals from the Mexico Scout Association and has received recognition for his work from the National Scout Organisations in Ecuador and El Salvador.
The World Scout Foundation and entire Scout Movement congratulates Hector and all recipients of the Bronze Wolf for truly embodying the spirit of Scouting and committing to making a remarkable positive impact on Scouting, in their communities and beyond.
