Reenergising the Young BP Fellow programme
Nine motivated Young BP Fellows (YBPF) have committed their time and energy to reenergise the YBPF programme!
They've come together in a small Task Force to work on increasing engagement within the YBPF network; to motivate YBPF to continue their Fellowship contributions over time; promote the Baden-Powell Fellowship and youth philanthropy; encourage participation in BP Fellowship events and networking opportunities (online and in-person); and to explore the possibility of mentoring with other BP Fellows. This work will see a great many improvements and exciting opportunities for existing and new YBPFs.
The Task Force consists of the following YBPFs: Caro Aguayo (Mexico), Frans Bergkvist (Sweden), Kristy Giacoman (Mexico/USA), Katie Hancock (USA), Hannah Kentish (UK), Alex Killby (Canada), Junbert Pabon (Philippines), Emma Stoffer (Switzerland), Caitlin Wood (Australia), supported by WSF staff.
The project duration is initially 6 months followed by a progress review and then, depending on the work available and the success of the Task Force, it can be extended to a 2-year term with an option to renew.
Currently the Task Force is conducting interviews with a number of YBPFs to find out their motivation to continue as s BP Fellow, their commitment to philanthropy and how being a YBPF could play a continuing role in their career development, which will lay the ground work for the defined tasks. In the coming weeks the 'About' section of the Foundation's website will be updated to include a full chapter on the YBPF programme.
