Successful annual appeal
Last October, we launched our first-ever annual appeal to boost our vital support for World Scouting. We set an ambitious target to provide even more young people with the opportunity to experience Scouting.
149 incredible donors answered our call, we welcomed 15 new BP Fellows and together, we raised USD 719,272. We didn’t reach our original target; nonetheless, there is plenty to celebrate.
Thanks to the incredible support of our network:
-
More young people will get to join Scouting! 15 National Scout Organisations are targeted to receive support over the next two years to improve their youth programmes, volunteer support, governance, communications and partnerships via growth strategies.
-
57 million Scouts (and counting!) will benefit from training and digital resources for peace education, environment, health and well-being, and life skills — empowering young people to develop as resilient, active citizens, who lead service actions to help others.
-
National Scout Organisations will benefit from training workshops and e-learning services that can be adapted to the local context and integrated into national youth programmes to implement the highest international standards of youth and child safeguarding.
Learn more about the impact of our collective action and be inspired by Scout action from across the globe via our regular web news.
In the words of our Honorary Chairman, HM King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden,
“Scouting is a possible solution to so many of the world’s challenges. You are giving young people the skills, confidence and values to change the world for the better. Let’s do even more together!”
It’s never too late to donate to World Scouting and you can contribute at any time via the Donate page on our website: worldscoutfoundation.org/donate
We are on a mission to raise an additional USD 100 million to contribute to the education and development of over 100 million young people by 2030, and we will continue working hard to secure the resources to grow this vital force for good in the world.
The amazing impact we achieve together every day would not be possible without you and we want you to know how much we value your continued support. Thank you.
